Halloween adds a spark of life to a time of year that’s traditionally dead: flickering jack-o’-lanterns lighting up the dark, dressing up in costumes, running around after dark for candy.

At the same time, while we’re celebrating and making memories, the holiday comes with its own set of safety concerns.

When kids are out trick-or-treating, they’re more at risk to be hit by a car.
